Sarah Black

LPC

Sarah has always had a heart for helping others. After high school, she initially set out to pursue a career in mental health, but life took her in a different direction. She spent a decade working in the corporate world, where she developed valuable skills and experiences that would later shape the way she connects with others. Eventually, Sarah felt called to make a deeper impact, leading her into education, where she worked as a high school teacher and counselor. This experience reignited her passion for supporting others and helping them navigate the challenges of life.

Sarah primarily uses a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, while also incorporating principles of Neuropsychotherapy to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and the brain. Her years of working with at-risk adolescents have given her a unique perspective on the many factors that shape how people experience and respond to the world around them. She believes that understanding the “why” behind our thoughts and behaviors can be an important first step toward meaningful change.
