Ryan Mahady

LMFT Graduate Intern

Hi, I'm Ryan Mahady, a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern currently completing my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University. Before pursuing counseling, I spent over a decade in leadership, sales, and management, experiences that gave me a deep appreciation for the challenges people face in their relationships, careers, and personal lives.

I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and authenticity. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to grow. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and family conflict, life transitions, grief, trauma, self-esteem concerns, and substance use concerns.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to each client's unique needs. I draw from evidence-based models including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy while maintaining a systemic perspective that recognizes the important role relationships play in healing and lasting change. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they build healthier relationships, greater resilience, and hope for the future.
